THE AIM OF EVERY ARTIST IS TO ARREST MOTION, WHICH IS LIFE, BY ARTIFICIAL MEANS AND HOLD IT FIXED SO THAT A HUNDRED YEARS LATER WHEN A STRANGER LOOKS AT IT, IT MOVES AGAIN. ~William Faulkner
I’ve been fortunate enough to meet some really great people through my career. Thanks to my experience as founder and publisher of Crux magazine for the past 5 years, my experience as a professional photographer for the last 8 years and my general experiences growing up, ultimately I felt the need to create a platform to dissect and explore in my own way the people I meet and life experiences I have in my daily job.
Let’s be frank, there’s more to life than the fashion that proliferates the pages of mainstream medias, I felt that the stories of many of the character I meet deserved to be uncovered and presented from an other angle in photography. I find an inherent interest in the background and surroundings that ultimately make people who they are today. I always loved doing features in Crux magazine cause it gave me a chance to really pick the brain of the person on the other end and to help analyze multiple angles and directions to their work.
